Where are we now?

Reproductive rights are women's human rights. These rights are focused on making sure women have the ability to make the best decision for themselves based on their needs at the time. These rights include prenatal services, safe childbirth, and access to contraception. They also include access to legal and safe abortion. The fight for reproductive rights has been a long and hard struggle for many years, and the fight still continues today.

While it is true that progress has been made over time, there have been set backs; the biggest and most influential is — the overturning of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court case that legalized abortion in the United States. It's extremely unfortunate that after forty nine years of Roe v. Wade, a fundamental right to decriminalize abortion nationwide and protect the rights for women to access abortions legally all over the country, is now gone.

It has been two years since the decision to leave abortion laws up to the states has been made, and you may be wondering where are we now? Women all over America are fighting hard to gain back their basic right to control their own bodies by educating and informing our society about health care and ways to have safe and legal abortions. While legal change comes from within the government, Pro-Choice may not be on their agenda. know that change is being made through protest, social media, and policy changes. Women [we] are the voices of America, and if enough people continue to highlight the importance of Reproductive rights, real change will be achieved.
